Project 2. A Multimodal Intervention to Improve Antihypertensive and Lipid-lowering TherapyEffective interventions are needed to address the system-level, clinician-level, and patient-level barriers to appropriate treatment for hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Both computerized decision support (CDS) in the context of a robust electronic health record (EHR) and automated telephone outreach (ATO) with speech recognition (SR) to patients are promising interventions to overcome the barriers that physicians and patients encounter in efforts to treat these conditions. |
